In 1984, the African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church founded the Sons of Allen Men’s Fellowship to foster unity among male members, equip them for meaningful service, increase engagement, and serve as positive role models for younger generations. Over the past two decades, the Sons of Allen has grown into a powerful connectional movement, evolving from a fellowship into a fully integrated ministry. Recognizing the challenges and hardships facing African American men, the AME Church remains committed to addressing these issues through faith, mentorship, and community support.
