First Lady LaSharn R. Faush

Sister LaSharn Renae Faush was born the second youngest child to her parents, the late Willie Ford Jr. and Mary J. Ford, in Birmingham, AL.

“So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.”
Matthew 19:6

She married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Rev. Anre’ D. Faush.

“God blessed them and said to them, ‘Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and over every living creature that moves on the ground.’”
Genesis 1:28

She is a loving and compassionate mother to her children:

  • One handsome son, Christopher (Mechanical Engineer)
  • Three beautiful daughters:
    • Jasmine (Speech Pathologist)
    • Ashlee (Accountant)
    • Christen (Nurse Practitioner)

She is also the loving grandmother of her 6-year-old grandson, Camden, who is the apple of her eye.

Faith & Service

Sister Faush is the First Lady of Allen Temple A.M.E. Church (Bessemer, AL), where she faithfully serves in multiple capacities:

  • Teacher of the Women’s Sunday School Class
  • Missionary Society Advisor
  • Member of the Stewardess Board
  • Singer in the United Voices of Allen Choir

Education & Career

Sister Faush was educated in the Birmingham School System and is a proud graduate of A.H. Parker High School.

She pursued higher education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB):

  • Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications (Specialization in Public Relations, Minor in Communications Management)
  • Master’s Degree in Public Administration (Concentration in Public & Non-Profit Management)

She is a proficient writer and communicator, gifted with encouragement, motivation, teaching, and administration.

She has previously served as an administrator in the Gynecologic Oncology and Interventional Cardiology Units at UAB and is currently employed with the Social Security Administration.
