Presiding Elder Bruce W. Hunter is now serving in the midst of his 7 th year as the Presiding Elder of the South Birmingham-Huntsville-Bessemer District. Along with District Consultant-Lady M. Gail Hunter, they have been married over 40 years and together in marriage and ministry, have served churches in South Alabama, East Alabama, Central Alabama and West Alabama, for over 40 years.

The South Birmingham-Huntsville-Bessemer District, located in the Northwest Alabama Annual Conference of the 9 th Episcopal District, is comprised of 21 churches, that are shepherded by 19 pastors. The footprint of the SBHB District stretches across Central Alabama in the cities of Birmingham, Bessemer, Homewood, Fultondale, Tarrant City and Trussville. It
moves over to East Alabama to the cities of Gadsden and Anniston; then reaches into North Alabama to the cities of Guntersville, Scottsboro, Fackler, New Market, Madison and Huntsville.
